My Journey

Eleven years ago I had a steady job in The System. I was working for Rupert Murdoch, of all people. I had a degree in journalism, money in my bank account, friends, and a social life. But I was bored and depressed. There was nothing wrong with my life. It just held no real meaning for me. I wasn’t living my purpose. But I had no idea what my purpose was or how I could find out.

In terms of the bigger picture, I was concerned with where the world was at. And even more concerned with where it was heading. Environmental destruction, global conflict, corporate greed…. It seemed humanity was going backwards instead of forwards. And nobody knew what to do about it. Worse still, nobody really seemed to care.

There had to be an alternative. Feeling deep down that change was possible, I set out to discover what I could do, in terms of both finding something meaningful to do with my own life, and finding what could be done on a larger scale to help tackle some of the problems humanity is facing.

My search took many twists and turns: Eastern mysticism, evolutionary cosmology, the UFO phenomenon… Quantum physics, the Gaia hypothesis, the global banking industry… Peak oil, world politics, climate change.

I attended workshops and seminars and got certified in all sorts of stuff, including: Master Practitioner of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), NLP Trainer, Results Acceleration Master Coach, Performance Consultant, Neurological Repatterning, Advanced Subconscious Reprogramming, Core Shamanism, Reiki, and Hypnosis.

And as I conducted my search for answers to the meaning of Life, the Universe, and Everything, a strange thing started to happen: I began to experience an awakening… I realised there is far more to reality, the world, and human consciousness than I had previously perceived. It became clear to me that Earth is a living organism spinning in what is ultimately a multidimensional and highly intelligent Universe. I also saw that humanity is just beginning to wake up to this.

I realised that our experience of life is a reflection of our inner landscape and there are many tools available to help us change this. I realised that the problems we face in the world today exist because of flaws in our collective consciousness. If we want to overcome those problems, we must shift our collective consciousness. The place to start is with ourselves.

I knew it was my purpose to align with this message. So I set about doing this. For about a decade now, I’ve been helping people to shift their consciousness so they can transform their lives.

I don’t think inner transformation should be taken too seriously. It is far too important for that! I also know that the most successful learning occurs when your imagination is engaged and when you’re having fun.

I also happen to love the craft of storytelling. I’ve studied story design with Pixar and with Hollywood screenwriting guru, Robert McKee. Stories speak directly to the unconscious mind. Their messages are left echoing long after the storytelling has finished. It has been said that storytelling is the most powerful way to put ideas into the world today.

All of this is why I blend storytelling with tools for personal transformation. My intention is to create a fun experience that is just as entertaining as it is transformational.  In a culture of Netflix, sensational news, and movie franchises, this approach—at least to me—seems like the most effective way to create change.

My journey hasn’t been easy. I’ve run into countless obstacles, challenges, and new thresholds along the way. Not to mention all the family dramas and failed relationships. Or the exhaustion and isolation I’ve experienced while simultaneously raising a child by myself. Or the financial hardship that often goes with taking the road less traveled.

But I’ve always kept going. And the Universe has supported me. I’ve been able to get the shifts and insights I’ve needed. I’ve developed my mission and tuned into a vision that inspires me. As I’ve navigated the highs and lows of my journey, I’ve learnt a few things that enables me to guide others along their own journeys.

Our planet is at a crossroads. Never before have things hung by such a thread. Yet never before has there been such potential for our world. Humanity can be so much more if we channel our efforts into the right places. I believe that it’s up to each and every one of us to do what we can so that the light of higher consciousness can shine through.
